Freeze Warning January 2026
When: Saturday night into Sunday morning AND Sunday night into Monday morning (1/31 and 2/1 )
While many of us live in Florida for the beautiful, sunny, and warm weather; we will be getting some freezing temperatures on Saturday night and Sunday night.
We need to help make sure that the water pipes in your rental property do not freeze. Some things you can do to help are the following things:
- Disconnect any outside water hoses from the faucets
- Let cold water drip from the outside faucets and from the inside faucets
- Protect your pets and bring them inside
- Protect sensitive plants
- Check on the elderly - your neighbors, family, and friends
- Turn your heater on, and don't set it lower than 55 degrees
- If you have a pool; set it to run all night
Please DO NOT use space heaters. Even though more safety features have been installed on these heaters - they are still not safe to use unattended (while you sleep)
